History of Quilts

I love the art of quilting. You can creates a piece that could be hung on a wall or be snuggled. Quilts are creatons of form and function. I like to read just about anything quilting related that I can get my hands on. Recently I came across an interesting booklet from Teaching History Through the Arts. It lists eleven quilt myths, a brief history of quilting and a great poem about different blocks. You can click here to read them directly.

If you are interested in more quilt history and some of the truths behind those myths, you can click here to read a great article by Mary Fons. She has a great series called The Quilt Scout on Quilts.com.
